11" Bollard Covers with Reflective Tape

The 11" BollardGard™ Bollard Cover with Reflective Tape provides a durable, low-maintenance solution for improving the appearance and visibility of large-diameter steel bollards. Designed to fit bollards up to 10.75" outside diameter, the cover conceals rust, chipped or faded paint, discoloration, and weathered surfaces while creating a clean, consistent finished appearance.

Each cover is manufactured from heavy-duty .187" thick low-density polyethylene (LDPE) and incorporates two recessed 1" reflective tape bands made from 3M™ #5100 Scotchlite™ reflective film. The recessed reflective bands improve visibility in low-light environments while maintaining a clean, integrated appearance.

BollardGard™ is UV stable for indoor and outdoor applications and is backed by a 5-year warranty against cracking and fading. Foam installation material is included for quick installation and to accommodate clearance between the existing bollard and cover. GripperTabs™ are also available by request for compatible applications.

Reflective Visibility for Large Bollards

Large bollards are frequently installed around parking structures, loading areas, building entrances, industrial facilities, and other locations with vehicle traffic. The two recessed reflective bands help make the bollard more noticeable in lower-light conditions while adding a professional finished appearance.

The reflective material is 3M™ #5100 Scotchlite™ Film and is available in black, blue, green, orange, red, white, and yellow.

Standard & Custom Heights

The standard BollardGard™ cover is 60" high. Custom-cut lengths are also available with no cutting charge.

When measuring the existing steel bollard, we recommend selecting a cover approximately 2"–4" taller than the exposed bollard height. This additional clearance helps compensate for concrete domes at the top of the bollard and differences in installed bollard height.

For properties with multiple bollards, specifying a consistent finished cover height can also provide a cleaner and more uniform appearance even when the underlying steel bollards vary slightly in height.

How to Determine the Correct Bollard Cover Size

This 11" BollardGard™ cover has an 11.125" inside diameter and is designed to fit bollards measuring up to 10.75" outside diameter.

For the most accurate measurement, measure straight across the widest point of the existing bollard to determine its outside diameter (OD). This method works best when the top of the bollard is accessible and is not obstructed by excess concrete.

If measuring the outside diameter directly is difficult, measure the circumference of the bollard and divide by 3.14 (π):

Outside Diameter = Circumference ÷ 3.14

For example, a bollard with a circumference of approximately 33.8" has an outside diameter of approximately 10.75", which is the maximum recommended bollard diameter for this cover.

You can also print our Bollard Cover Sizing Guide at 100% scale and use it as an additional sizing reference. This method works best when the top of the bollard is flat and is not obstructed by a concrete dome.

Standard Foam Installation

Foam installation material is included with this 11" BollardGard™ cover. The foam fills the clearance between the existing bollard and the inside of the cover, helping center the sleeve and hold it securely in position.

Foam installation is particularly useful with large-diameter covers because actual bollard dimensions can vary. It also allows the cover to be adapted to compatible bollards that are smaller than the maximum 10.75" outside diameter.

Why Use Bollard Covers?

Exposed steel bollards can require recurring maintenance as paint fades, chips, peels, and exposes the underlying steel to weathering. BollardGard™ covers provide a cleaner alternative by enclosing the existing bollard rather than repeatedly sanding and repainting it.

For facilities with multiple bollards, covers also provide a more consistent appearance by creating a uniform color, finish, diameter, and installed height. The recessed reflective bands make this model especially useful in areas where increased visibility is desired.
