The 13" BollardGard™ Bollard Cover with Reflective Tape provides a durable, low-maintenance solution for improving the appearance and visibility of large-diameter steel bollards. Designed to fit bollards up to 12.75" outside diameter, the cover conceals rust, chipped or faded paint, discoloration, and weathered surfaces while creating a clean, uniform finished appearance.

Manufactured from heavy-duty .200" thick low-density polyethylene (LDPE), each cover incorporates two recessed 1" reflective tape bands made from 3M™ #5100 Scotchlite™ reflective film. The recessed design provides increased visibility while maintaining a clean, integrated appearance suitable for commercial, industrial, and traffic-control environments.

BollardGard™ is UV stable for indoor and outdoor applications and is backed by a 5-year warranty against cracking and fading. Foam installation material is included to help center and secure the cover around the existing bollard. GripperTabs™ are available by request for compatible applications.

Reflective Visibility for Large Bollards

Large-diameter bollards are frequently used in parking structures, industrial facilities, loading areas, storefronts, and other locations with vehicle traffic. The two recessed reflective bands help make these bollards more noticeable in lower-light conditions while maintaining a professional finished appearance.

The reflective material is 3M™ #5100 Scotchlite™ Film and is available in black, blue, green, orange, red, white, and yellow.

Technical Specifications

Standard & Custom Heights

The standard 13" BollardGard™ cover is 60" high. Custom-cut lengths are also available with no cutting charge.

For the best finished installation, select a cover approximately 2"–4" taller than the exposed bollard height. This additional clearance helps accommodate concrete domes and variations in the height of installed steel bollards.

When multiple covers are being installed throughout the same property, specifying a consistent finished cover height can create a cleaner and more uniform appearance even when the underlying bollards vary slightly in height.

How to Determine the Correct Bollard Cover Size

This 13" BollardGard™ cover has a 13.167" inside diameter and is designed to fit bollards measuring up to 12.75" outside diameter.

For the most accurate measurement, measure straight across the widest point of the existing bollard to determine its outside diameter (OD). This method works best when the top of the bollard is accessible and is not obstructed by excess concrete.

If measuring the outside diameter directly is difficult, measure the circumference of the bollard and divide by 3.14 (π):

Outside Diameter = Circumference ÷ 3.14

For example, a bollard with a circumference of approximately 40.0" has an outside diameter of approximately 12.74", placing it within the maximum recommended size for this 13" BollardGard™ cover.

BollardGard™ covers are designed for quick installation using the included foam strips. The foam helps center and secure the cover around the existing bollard while accommodating variations in bollard diameter. No drilling into the existing bollard is required.

Why Use Bollard Covers?

Large steel bollards can require recurring maintenance as paint fades, chips, peels, and exposes the underlying surface to weathering. BollardGard™ covers provide a cleaner alternative by enclosing the existing bollard rather than repeatedly sanding and repainting it.
