The 7" BollardGard™ Bollard Cover with Reflective Tape provides a durable, low-maintenance way to improve the appearance and visibility of existing steel bollards. Available in 52", 60", and 72" standard heights, all three sizes are now available from a single product listing, making it easier to select the configuration that best fits your facility.

Designed to fit bollards up to 6-5/8" outside diameter, each cover is manufactured from 1/8" thick high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and incorporates two recessed 1" bands of 3M™ #5100 Scotchlite™ reflective film. The reflective bands improve visibility in low-light environments, while the cover conceals rust, peeling paint, discoloration, and weathered surfaces without the recurring maintenance associated with repainting exposed steel bollards.

BollardGard™ is UV stable for indoor and outdoor applications and is backed by a 5-year warranty against cracking and fading. Included GripperTabs™ provide fast installation without drilling or permanent modification to the existing bollard. Foam installation is also available for non-standard bollard sizes.

Available in 52", 60", and 72" standard heights. All sizes have the same 7.1" inside diameter and are designed to fit bollards up to 6-5/8" outside diameter.

Custom lengths are also available with no cutting charge. For the best installation, select a cover approximately 2"–4" taller than the existing bollard to allow for variations in bollard height and concrete domes.

Reflective Visibility

Each BollardGard™ cover includes two recessed 1" reflective tape bands. Recessing the reflective bands into the cover helps create a clean, integrated appearance while providing increased visibility around parking areas, loading zones, warehouses, traffic lanes, and other environments where bollards need to remain noticeable.

The reflective material is 3M™ #5100 Scotchlite™ Film and is available in black, blue, green, orange, red, white, and yellow.

How to Determine the Correct Bollard Cover Size

This 7" BollardGard™ cover has a 7.1" inside diameter and is designed to fit bollards measuring up to 6-5/8" outside diameter.

For the most accurate measurement, measure straight across the widest part of the existing bollard to determine its outside diameter (OD). If the top is flat and accessible, a standard tape measure can be used.

If measuring directly across the bollard is difficult, measure its circumference and divide by 3.14 (π):

Outside Diameter = Circumference ÷ 3.14

For example, a bollard with a circumference of approximately 20.8" has an outside diameter of approximately 6.62", placing it within the maximum recommended size for this 7" BollardGard™ cover.

You can also print our Bollard Cover Sizing Guide at 100% scale and use it as an additional sizing reference. This method works best when the top of the bollard is flat and is not obstructed by a concrete dome.

Choosing the Correct Height

Select from 52", 60", or 72" standard heights or request a custom-cut length.

When measuring the existing steel bollard, we recommend choosing a cover approximately 2"–4" taller than the exposed bollard height. This provides additional clearance for concrete domes and variations between installed bollards.

When multiple covers are being installed throughout the same property, using a uniform finished cover height can create a cleaner and more consistent appearance even when the underlying steel bollards vary slightly in height.

Why Use Bollard Covers?

Exposed steel bollards can require repeated maintenance as paint fades, chips, peels, and exposes the underlying steel to weathering. BollardGard™ covers provide a cleaner alternative by enclosing the existing bollard rather than repeatedly sanding and repainting it.

For facilities with multiple bollards, covers can also provide a more consistent appearance by creating a uniform color, finish, diameter, and installed height. The integrated reflective bands make this version especially suitable for areas where enhanced visibility is desired.
