Assess & Prepare

Confirm the floor is flat, smooth, even, and free of abrasions. Sweep and clean the surface; allow it to dry completely.

Lay Out the Queue

Use layout lines and measurements to mark the intended center points of the stanchions before any plate is bonded.

Clean the Plate Location

Center the floor-plate template over the marked position and clean the exposed mounting area with rubbing alcohol until residue, oil, and chalk are removed.

Bond the Floor Plate

Warm the prepared area to about 100°F, remove the adhesive backing, place the stainless-steel plate once, and press it firmly into full contact. The industrial adhesive cannot be repositioned after placement.

Allow Full Cure

Apply full pressure across the plate and allow at least 24 hours before attaching a post; the source guide recommends 24–72 hours for best adhesive cure.

Attach the Stanchion

After cure, orient the belt, bring the base edge to the plate edge, and rock the magnetic base into controlled contact rather than allowing it to slam onto the plate.
